There are 100 million job applications on LinkedIn every month. But if you want to set yourself apart from all of the other job applications, you absolutely can – and LinkedIn have compiled 11 ways to do it.

1. Apply early

Being one of the first to apply for any job can make you up to 4x more likely to land the role. If you set up job alerts, you can be the first to know about jobs – and therefore the first to apply.

3. Pay attention to your profile

Make sure your profile truly reflects who you are and what you can offer. Set up a good, impressive, comprehensive profile. In your profile, use keywords that are used in job descriptions relative to your business.

4. Look opportunistic

Let recruiters know that you’re open to new jobs by activating the Open to Job Opportunities tool on your LinkedIn profile.

LinkedIn Salary insights can help you to pursue jobs that meet your specific salary needs – instead of wasting your time on those that don’t.

6. Get your skills verified

Skill Assessments on LinkedIn help to validate your skills – and allow these skills to show up on your profile. LinkedIn have also recently released a list of the most sought-after skills and is offering 15 free courses to help people learn them.

7. Use – and broaden – your network

Through your LinkedIn network, you can get introduced to someone you might like to connect with, which increases your chances of getting hired by 9X. Simply click “get introduced” .

8. Be interview ready

LinkedIn offers tools to prepare jobseekers for interviews. Use them. Over 50% of jobseekers claim that the interview process is challenging. These tools can lighten the load.
