Facebook just rolled out a new page management history feature that allows page owners and administrators to see an overview of actions taken by other admins.
David Cohen from Adweek quipped that the feature is a “new way for page administrators to police each other.”
Every time an administrator makes one of the following changes to the page, the other admins will get a notification.
- Changes to the page roles, including additions and removals
- Updates to page relationships, such as when the page creates, leaves, or joins a group
- Additions or updates to the Confirmed Pages Owner
- Changes to page settings, such as age and country restrictions
- Updates to Business Manager Relationships, such as when a new Business Manager claims ownership or access is removed
- Business Manager invitations (acceptance or rejection)
Page admins will also be able to view a full list of actions taken by other members of management in the page’s settings tab. They’ll also be able to see when the action was performed.
As Social Media Today points out, the change will provide greater transparency.
Pages have always been able to see who’s publishing content on their Page via the Activity Log, but this new addition provides visibility into actions taken by other admins. That could be handy for those looking to better understand specific actions, or just keep better tabs on such changes.
If this feature hasn’t showed up on your page yet, it will soon—it’s being added to all pages.
